Gone are the stalemates and the players camping waiting to snipe from a distance. However, this is only implemented towards the end of a round, forcing players into a close-quarters situation. Now the playable area shrinks, similar to that of a battle royale mode. Elimination - which is similar to a Team Deathmatch mode - has had one new feature added. Realism is the focus here, and anyone can be taken down in a couple of shots. However, this doesn't mean high-level players will have an advantage. Progression is shared across all game modes meaning the items you unlock in the campaign can also be used in Ghost War and vice versa. One character fits all the Ghost you play as in the campaign is now also the one you'll play within PvP. The class system from Wildlands has been ditched for a more fluid and streamlined experience. Elimination and Sabotage are both returning, albeit with some slight tweaks to the way matches are played out. If you're familiar with the PvP from Wildlands, you will feel at home with Breakpoint's take on Ghost War.
